JAMMU, Apr 6: BJP Minority Morcha’s J&K President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, who is also the UT In-charge of party’s ‘Sikh Sampark’ programme, today sought the support from the members of Sikh community to vote for the saffron party candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and ensure their victory.
In this regard, Nalwa visited several Sikh-dominated areas in J&K in the past few days, holding meetings with the community members and urged them to vote for BJP candidates in the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing a well-attended gathering of Sikh community members, he said that a vote of Sikhs for the BJP candidates would be a vote to the development of the community.
He reminded the community members of the ‘Congress-engineered’ 1984 anti-Sikh riots, saying that they should now not be misled by the party’s ‘fake’ assurances in run up to the Lok Sabha elections.
“Please, don’t get befooled by the hollow slogans of Congress. A Sikh, who loves self-respect, will never vote for Congress. All know how Sikhs were killed and disgraced in New Delhi riots. Against the backdrop of these happenings, I don’t think Sikhs should even think of supporting Congress candidates,” he said.
“It’s only BJP which is a pro-Sikh party and which has done a lot for the community in the past 10 years of NDA rule in the country,” added.
Among others, who attended the event included Sanjiv Singh Bali, Paramjit Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Jasmeet Kour Pandey, Harpal Singh Bali, Joginder Singh, Gurmeet Singh Rocky, Deedar Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Hardeep Singh, Surjeet Singh and Gurdyal Singh.
