JAMMU, Dec 29: Nami Dogri Sanstha today celebrated its Foundation Day by organizing an impressive function with great enthusiasm.
On the occasion, sweets were also distributed among the members, who recalled the works done by Nami Dogri Sanstha for promotion of Dogri language.
17 years back, on 29-12-1998, Nami Dogri Sanstha was formed by its founder members S S Anand Lehar, Capt Lalit Sharma, Advocate Harish Kaila, Prof Anupama Sharma, Prithvi Raj Sharma and Ramesh Rahi. Later, youth wing of Nami Dogri Sanstha was also formed to promote the Dogri language amongst the youths too.
For promotion of Dogri language, Nami Dogri Sanstha has been organizing various programmes, such as Kavi Ghoshthis, Kahani Ghoshthis, Kavi Sandhis, book release functions, felicitation functions, press conferences etc.
