JAMMU, July 8: Nami Dogri Sanstha held a special executive meeting to pay homage and rich tribute to Padamshree Late Nilamber Dev Sharma, a distinguished scholar and son of the soil, on his 4th death anniversary.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures including Capt Lalit Sharma, Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, Yash Pal Yash, and Prof Anupama Sharma. They recalled the contributions of Nilamber Dev Sharma to the Dogri Language and Duggar culture, as well as his pivotal role in getting Dogri Language included in the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution. On the occasion, NDS also expressed deep sorrow at the passing away of veteran actress Susham Sharma, who began her journey with the legendary theatre personality, late Kavi Rattan, and left an indelible mark on the world of theatre with her exceptional talent and dedication.
