JAMMU, June 28: Former Women Wing president of J&K Apni Party, Namrta Sharma on today joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) at New Delhi.
The joining programme was led by MP Sanjay Singh, and Imran Hussain, Food and Civil Supplies Minister, New Delhi in the presence of Gourav Sharma, AAP In-charge for Jammu province.
Addressing a press conference Imran Hussain welcomed Namrta Sharma into AAP and said that such joining will strengthen Party’s vision for welfare and development of J&K.
Namrta told reporters that she has always worked for the welfare of people of Jammu and will continue to do so.
“AAP has proved to be a Party for the common man which believes in development and empowerment of the people,” she said adding that the people of Jammu have trust on AAP and Arvind Kejriwal.
She called Kejriwal a revolutionary leader who believes in working for common man and development.
Namrta said that AAP’s policies on Education and Health are a model for the whole nation which J&K needs.
Others who joined AAP along with Namrta were Jyoti Vaid, ex-vice president JKAP Women Wing; Amrit Choudhury and Sapna Gill.
