JAMMU, Dec 26: Famous Bollywood actor, social worker and Padam Shree Awardee, Nana Patekar, paid a casual visit to BSF Campus, Paloura here today and met enthusiastically with BSF troops.
Nana expressed his heartfelt respect and regards for all the `border guards’ who are 24×7 in the service to the nation. He was amazed to see the zeal and warmth of the bordermen.
While speaking with the BSF jawans, he felt humbled by their courage, bravery and commitment even in the serving most inhospitable terrain. He stated that BSF’s outstanding contribution to the security of our nation cannot be overstated.
Nana also met with students and teachers of BSF School Paloura. The students were extremely happy after talking with their iconic film-star who gave his voice to ‘ Sher Khan’ in popular serial ‘Jungle Book’.
Nana Patekar is also known for his simple life style, generous donation in charities, drought relief activities and helping indebted farmers. After realising the aptitude, interest and capabilities of Manik Bilouria and Reetika Sharma, students of BSF School Paloura, Nana has taken responsibilities of these two children for higher studies in the field of Art. He also expressed to be their local guardian at Pune.
On this occasion, IG BSF Jammu Frontier, Ram Awtar, thanking Patekar, said that such visits raise the morale of troops, recognizing the immeasurable service rendered by world largest border guarding force tasked to guard vast Indian frontier in Western and Eastern borders.
