The protestors demanded for the widening and repairing of nallah, which they said has made their life miserable as water overflowing from it enters into their homes.
Speaking on the occasion, one of the protestor said, “We are suffering badly due to the blockage in the nallah, but none of the corporator or any other official of JMC is ready to listen their grievance. As the result we are forced to come on road in favor of our demands.”
“Besides being a breeding ground of mosquitoes, the nallah has caused frequent damage to gadgets in the residences adjacent to it, apart from all the toxic fumes and foul smell it gives out,” said Mohinder Singh, another resident of the area.
The residents complain of daily frustration due to zero attention to the issue from the corporation despite their repeated appeals for redressal and further appealed the authorities to redress their grievance by repairing or widening the nallah in their area.
