REASI, June 15: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Advocate Ajay Nanda today inaugurated the Government Higher Secondary School, building at Laiter in Pouni area of Reasi district.
A large number of the people attended the inaugural function. The Minister said that present coalition in the State is working tirelessly to provide basic facilities to the people and due care is being taken for providing better education facilities by constructing and upgrading the schools, providing better healthcare and drinking water facilities, improve power supply and providing electricity facilities in those villages which have remained deprived of the same till date.
He said Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has announced many schemes and projects for the betterment and upliftment of weaker sections of the society and the people should take benefits of the same.
He urged the students to take the advantage of the facilities being provided by the Government and pay attention to their studies so that they can contribute in nation building in future.
He urged the teachers to be devoted to their job and ensure quality education by improving the results in their respective schools.
The Minister also sought the cooperation of the people in making the government policies and programmes a success.
Later Ajay Nanda held a public grievances camp at Laiter and listened the grievances of the people. He assured the gathering that all steps will be taken in solving the same.
BJP general secretary, Satpal Sharma, Mandal president, Pouni, Karuna Nidhi, general secretary, Mandal, Pouni Rajesh and Ajay, Mahila Morcha president, Pouni Neelam Devi, Sarpanches Rashpal Sharma and Deep Singh, Yuva Morcha leader Pankaj and Varinder were also present on the occasion.
