Nanda takes stock of people’s grievances

UDHAMPUR, May 2: Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Information Technology, Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Tribal Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Labour & Employment Ajay Nanda today held a public meeting at Moungri and listened to the grievances of the people.
District Development Commissioner, Niraj Kumar and the district officers of various departments were also present on the occasion.
A large number of people from the concerned and adjoining panchayats attended the public grievances redressal camp and put forth various problems being faced by them in their day to day life.
The demands raised by the locals were mainly related to repair of roads, adequate ration supply, improvement in power scenario, filling of vacancies in Government schools and Health Centers etc.
They also demanded construction of Moungri –Ladda  and  other PMGSY roads, early completion of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidalaya (KGBV) at Moungri, disbursement of pending payments under MGNREGA, regular bus services to Moungri and Degree College etc.
The Minister said that the prime objective of holding the camp at such a far flung area was to bring the Government to the doorsteps of the common people. He issued on spot directions to the concerned district officers to resolve the problems being faced by the people of the area at an earliest.
Regarding the problem of shortage of staff in the schools, the MoS directed the CEO to take immediate steps in this regard. He further asked Xen PHE to take steps to provide drinking water in schools lacking this facility.
Stating that the present Government is constantly working towards the welfare of people, the Minister highlighted various schemes of the Government launched for the common and poor people like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, PMUY, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana etc.
Earlier, Nanda visited Primary Health Centre at Moungri. On the occasion, the MoS also announced an X-ray machine for the PHC out of his CDF.
