JAMMU, Feb 9: Narayan Dass Bawa son/disciple of Mahant Ramji Dass Bawa was today installed as Mahant of Thakurdwara Narsinghji Temple, Patoli, Janipur with Vedic rituals.
The members of Shri Vaishnav Bairagi Sadhu Dharam Sthan Surakshani Samiti, J&K, Sants, Mahants, Shri Mahant Mahamandleshwar, president of the Samiti, Shri Rameshwar Dass Ji as well as prominent political leaders of J&K attended the function and confirmed installation of Narayan Dass as Mahant of the Temple.
Besides, Ashok Bawa son of Mahant Ramji Dass Bawa and Abhijeet Bawa son of Mahant Subhash Chander Bawa were nominated as disciples of Mahant Narayan Dass Bawa.
On the occasion, a Bhandara was also organized for the devotees in the premises of Thakurdwara Narsingh Temple.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were former Ministers Sat Sharma and Chander Prakash Ganga, Prof Vishaw Murthi Shastri (ex-principal, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan), Santosh Sharma (retired DFO), Vinod Sharma (AEO), Kuldeep Magotra and Prabat Singh Jamwal (both BJP leaders), Sita Ram (retired TSO) and Rattan Dev (retired ZEO).
