Narayana Hospital hosts CME event under Cancer Shala Series

JAMMU, Aug 29: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Superspeciality Hospital hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event under its renowned Cancer Shala Series, focusing on ‘Newer Advances in the Management of Lung Cancer’.
This significant event drew an esteemed group of medical professionals from the BSF, ECHS, CRPF and NHPC, coming together to discuss the latest advancements and best practices in lung cancer treatment.
The CME commenced with a detailed session led by Dr Viney Sambyal, who provided a thorough overview of the evolving landscape in lung cancer management. His session set a high standard for the day’s discussions, addressing both the challenges and opportunities in the field.
The first discussion session was chaired by Dr MK Singh, Chief Medical Officer of Composite Hospital CRPF Jammu and Dr Tilak Raj, Medical Superintendent of ESIC Model Hospital, Bari Brahmna, Jammu. Their leadership facilitated engaging discussions on current trends and developments in oncology, enhancing participants’ understanding of the subject.
A noteworthy highlight of the event was a session led by Dr Annil Mahajan, former Head of the Department of Medicine at Government Medical College, Jammu, and Dr Sukhjinder Singh, Deputy Inspector General (Medical) of BSF. During this session, Dr Deepak Bharti, Medical Oncologist at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, presented advanced therapeutic strategies in lung cancer treatment.
The CME event saw active participation from a diverse group of medical professionals, demonstrating a strong commitment to collaborative learning and interdisciplinary dialogue.
