UDHAMPUR, Oct 11: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler, who was smuggling heroin like substance while travelling in a car.
The car bearing registration number JK14K-3532 was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur and stopped by a Police team from Police Post Tikri for checking purpose.
On frisking of the driver, 7.46 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. Following this, Police immediately arrested the accused driver, identified as Anil Kumar, son of Mool Raj of Jib Fantyal, Udhampur.
A case vide FIR No. 223/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation was set into probe.
