UDHAMPUR, Nov 19: Police today arrested a narco smuggler under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal and recovered 3.9 grams heroin like substance from his possession.
Police team from Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Nishat Sumbria and performing vehicle checking at Phalata naka point, intercepted a motorbike bearing registration number JK14H-0978, which was coming from Tikri side towards Udhampur.
On frisking of bike rider, 3.9 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from possession of the bike rider, identified as Ajay Kumar, son of Madan Lal of Garnai, Udhampur. He was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR under Section 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Rehambal.
