UDHAMPUR, May 18: Police arrested a narco smuggler from Roundomail area and seized 25 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
Reports said that a Police team, led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Raghubir Singh and assisted by IC PP Roundomail PSI Mohd Shafique, intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BD- 8799 for checking purposes.
On frisking, 25 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from the possession of bike rider namely Mohd Ashraf, son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Near Dak Banglow Maralia Jammu. The accused was arrested on the spot and the recovered heroin as well as his bike were seized.
In this connection, a case vide FIR number 251/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was initiated.
