UDHAMPUR, May 1: Police arrested a narcotic smuggler from Roun Domail area and seized 5.1 grams heroin like substance from his possession.
Reports said that an information was received at Police Station Udhampur through reliable sources that one person namely Imran Khan, son of Sultan Parvez of Karowa was having possession of a considerable quantity of heroin like substance and he was roaming in the vicinity of PP Roun Domail.
Acting swiftly on the information, SHO Udhampur, Inspector Raghubir Singh directed Incharge PP Roun and a naka was laid near Karowa Bridge where the accused intercepted.
Upon his physical search in presence of EMIC, 5.10 grams of heroin like contraband was recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and registered case FIR 215/2024, Under Section 8/21/22 NDPS ACT. The investigation has been entrusted to ICPP Roun Domail.
