JAMMU, Aug 22: Miran Sahib Police today arrested a narcotics smuggler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per official sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and SP Headquarters Ramnish Gupta established a naka at Langotian and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02CJ -5390 which was on its way from Shian Chak towards Kotli Mian Fateh.
During search, police team recovered 5 grams of heroin from the possession of scooty rider and arrested him. The arrested person was identified as Suresh Kumar, son of Mangal Singh, a resident of Ward Number 8, RS Pura.
A case FIR Number 97/22 under Section 8/21/22/60 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
