JAMMU, Mar 14: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with around one kilogram of charas from Jakhani, falling under the jurisdiction of Udhampur police station.
As per police sources, a police team from Udhampur police station led by SHO Mahesh Sharma laid a naka near Jakhani and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 800 grams of charas and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Bansi Lal of Krimchi-Mansar, district Udhampur.
A case under FIR number 102/14 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at police station Udhampur and investigation started.
