JAMMU, Dec 6: Nowabad police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with one kilogram of charas from Dogra Chowk.
A police spokesman said that, during routine checking at Dogra Chowk, police party from Nowabad Police Station led by SHO Jai Pal Sharma intercepted a person moving suspiciously.
During checking, police recovered one kilogram of charas and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Sadam Hussain, son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh of Gurmal Doda.
A case under FIR number 198/13 under Section 8/20/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and investigation started.
