POONCH, June 3: Continuing its drive against drug peddlers Police arrested a narcotic peddler and recovered some quanity of heroin from his possession.
Reports said the police nabbed one Mohd Zahir alias Pitti, son of Mir Mohd, resident of Gohlad, Mendhàr and recovered 6.4 grams of heroin along with a sharp edged weapon (khokri) from him.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 100/2023 U/S 307/353/332 IPC , 4/25 Arms Act, 8/21 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Mendhar and investigation of the case has been taken up.
The team headed by Insp Sajid Iqbal SHO Mendhar assisted by ASI Talib Hussain nabbed him.
