Narcotic smuggler booked under PSA

KATHUA, Apr 26: District police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal, today arrested an infamous narcotics smuggler Daljeet Singh, son of Tarlochan Singh of Logate Morh Kathua tehsil and district Kathua.
Police said a team led by Inspector O P Chib , SHO Police Station (PS) Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarter, Kathua Shammi Kumar, apprehended narcotic smuggler who was evading arrest and against whom a detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act- 1988 was issued by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
In order to prevent the illegal activities in drug trafficking, a dossier was prepared against him and sent to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for his detention under PITNDPS Act- 1988 (PSA). Accordingly Divisional Commissioner, Jammu issued a detention warrant against him under PITNDPS Act and warrant has been executed today and lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu to curtail his activities in drug peddling so that future of the youth of the district could be saved from the clutches of drug peddlers.
