UDHAMPUR, Nov 15: Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler along with one kilogram of charas from Chak Morh.
Giving details, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, said that during routine checking, police party headed by SHO Police Station Rehmbal under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Sukhdev Raj Bhasin intercepted one suspicious person near Chak Morh.
During search, police recovered one kilogram of charas and arrested the narcotic smuggler Suresh Jaswal, son of Jagdev Singh of Chopra Shop, at present MES quarters.
A case under FIR number 179/12 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered at Police Station Rehmbal and investigation started.
