SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Police arrested three persons and recovered more than six kilograms of narcotic substance from their possession in Pattan-Baramulla.
A police spokesman said that Baramulla police laid Naka checking near Tapper. A vehicle bearing registration number JK05/1626 driven by Jahangir Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdul Ahad resident of Balgam was intercepted. Upon the search of the vehicle about 6.5 kilograms of narcotic substance was recovered. Jahangir alongwith two more persons Bilal Ahmad Sofi resident of Aalibagh, Tarzoo and Javid Ahmad, son of Ghulam Muhammad Bhat resident of Palhalan, Pattan who were boarding the vehicle were also arrested.
Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation has been started.
