RAJOURI, Dec 9: The police today arrested two local persons and recovered narcotic substance from their possession.
A police team headed by SHO Rajouri Ajaz Haider under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Govind Rattan laid a naka at Kallar and conducted random frisking of vehicles.
During this checking and frisking, two pedestrians moving on road stopped at some distance and suddenly started to move backwards. Their act developed suspicion and cops on duty chased the duo and detained them and during frisking, 20 gms of white powder (Commonly called as Chitta) was recovered and seized. They were later identified as Akhtar Shah, son of Qadir Shah, resident of Draj in Budhal and Sujat Shah, son of Shabir Shah, resident of Targain in Budhal. In this connection a case FIR No. 673/2018 U/S 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered in Rajouri Police Station against them.
