MENDHAR, Aug 24: Continuing it’s drive against drug- peddlers, the Police arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered 10 gms of heroin from his possession here today.
Identified as Mohd Taj, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Chak Banola in Mendhar, the police team during frisking in the town here recovered about 10 gms of heroin from him. He was arrested and lodged in the police lock up.
A case FIR No. 189/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Mendhar and investigation of the case has been taken up.
The recovery has been made by PSI, Rajat Kumar and SHO Mendhar Insp Niaz Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar, Sheezan Bhat.
