RAMBAN, Dec 15: Chanderkote Police foiled narcotics smuggling bid.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Chanderkote laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB06BA 5757.
During checking, police team recovered 151 kilograms of poppy straw and seized the consignment and the truck.
A case FIR Number 154/2021 under Section 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and hunt has been launched to nab the truck driver, who managed to escape from the spot.
The recovery was made by police party led by SHO Chanderkote Inspector Afzal Wani under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SSP Ramban PD Nitya.
