KATHUA, Nov 19: The Municipal Council Kathua kick started the works of lanes and drains in busy area of Shiva Nagar here, today. The president of MC Kathua , Naresh Sharma accompanied by councilor, Rahul Dev, Sanjeev Vaid , Bupinder Kumar and prominent citizen of Shiva Nagar formally kick started the works which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs seven lakh. The people of the area were deprived of lanes and drains so far.
The MC president, Naresh Sharma said that number of development projects are under way to be completed in Kathua. The people are facing problems due to lack of proper drainage in various wards. The Council has chalked out a plan for proper drainage and sewerage system.
Councilor Rahul Dev said that the people of Kathua hope better drainage, lanes and sewerage system so that there is cleanliness every where. He said that some more streets, lanes of Shiva Nagar are also put under development plans and construction works will be started.
