Narrow escape for residents after house collapse

KISHTWAR, June 2: Landslide in Hirkhani Drubeel triggered a house collapse incident here today but all the residents of the ill fated house had a narrow escape in the incident.
Sources informed that the residential house of one Abdul Kabir, son of Gh. Rasool Lone, resident of Hirkhani Drubeel in Kishtwar collapsed and all the household items kept inside the house including utensils, clothes etc were destroyed.
They said that continuous rains in the area triggered landslide which led to the house collapse.
However, there was no loss of life in the incident but
Police Station Chatroo has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
A local leader of the area Sultan said that house of Abdul Kabir suffered excessive damage and everything there was destroyed but luckily two children and wife of Kabir had narrow escape but they received minor injuries.
After the house collapsed the nearby people rushed and started rescue operation.
Locals of the area urged upon DC Kishtwar to provide some relief to the victim family.
Sources informed that District Red Cross Society has given Rs. 10,000 relief to the victim along with bedding, utensils and other things of daily need.
