Narrow escape for school children as LT line falls

MENDHAR, Oct 30:  It was narrow escape for the children of a Convent school and some locals as a live  electric wire suddenly fell from an old and dry tree  and kept lying on the road for long.
Interestingly this live wire had been mounted on a tree by the PDD staff instead of  raising a pole. The children of the nearby Convent school just adjoining Sangala Chowk had a clean shave. The passers by also got alerted and stayed away. They expressed strong resentment against the callous attitude of the PDD staff who did not bother to erect pole and mount live wire on it. The tree was being used as pole  since long.
