JAMMU, July 23: About 150 passengers on board Spice Jet flight from New Delhi to Jammu had a narrow escape after the aircraft was hit by the birds while landing at Jammu Airport this morning.
The flight was grounded after the bird hit.
SSP Anti-Hijacking (Jammu Airport) Ashok Sharma said all passengers on board Spice Jet from New Delhi to Jammu and the crew were safe as the pilot landed the flight safely at the Airport at 10 am after the bird hit.
The flight was grounded and the Srinagar bound passengers were accommodated in GoAir and JetLight aircrafts, Mr Sharma said.
He added that the engineers of Spice Jet reached Jammu Airport from New Delhi this afternoon and repaired the damage caused to the aircraft due to bird hit. The flight left for New Delhi at 4 pm without passengers.
