Narwal toll rises to 4

JAMMU, Nov 28: A teenager, who had sustained critical injuries in a major fire at Narwal on the intervening night of November 25 and 26, today succumbed to burn injuries, taking the toll in the tragedy to four.
The mysterious fire had engulfed about 80 shanties and claimed lives of three including a woman and her two kids. Three others including Tasmina (17) daughter of Adaspur, had sustained critical injuries in the fire.
“However, Tasmina succumbed to her injuries this morning at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu”a police spokesman said, adding, she had received 80 percent burn injuries. He further said that after completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased girl was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
Pertinent to mention here that all the victims were Burma residents and living in the slum set up on a private land as refugees.
