MANJAKOTE, Dec 14 : Minister of State for Home, Housing & Urban Development, Nasir Aslam Wani and Minister of State for CAPD & Transport Shabir Ahmed Khan today inaugurated SDPO office at Manjakote, Rajouri.
This was the long pending demand of the locals which has been fulfilled by the Coalition Government for providing better policing to the people of this border block of Rajouri district. This will help in maintaining law and order in a more professional manner.
Director General of Police, Dr Ashok Parsad, Inspector General of Police, Jammu Range, Dilbag Singh, Dy Inspector General, Rajouri, Danish Rana, SSP, Rajouri and other senior civil and police officers, besides former MLA, Aslam Khan, senior leaders of various political parties, panchs, sarpanchs and large number of people were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shabir Ahmed said that Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is endeavoring to provide crime-free administration to the people of the State. He said opening of new police stations in far off and remote areas for providing justice and maintaining peace and normalcy remained top priority of the Government.
He said the Government will consider special police recruitment drive in all blocks of the district, as the district have meager resources in production sectors and there is great need for generating employment opportunities for the educated youth of the area.
Mr Nasir in his address said that the Government during the past four years has taken several revolutionary and bold steps to refurbish the all round development of people of the State, besides providing better policing and bringing complete peace and normalcy in the State.
He said strengthening of Police Department by adding more manpower, modern equipments, besides establishment of new police units remained focused attention of the Government. He said that fulfilling of people’s aspirations and genuine needs was the first priority of the Government and opening of SDPO Office at Manjakote was the genuine demand which has been fulfilled by the Government at right time.
