JAMMU, Aug 13: As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, along with party workers today conducted a cleaning drive at the statue of Shaheed Subedar, Major Nain Singh in Shaheed Nain Singh Park, Sector E Sainik Colony, here, today.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta highlighted the significance of organizing such commemorative functions to pay tribute to the valor and bravery of martyrs. He emphasized that these events play a pivotal role in inspiring the younger generation and instilling a deep sense of patriotism among them.
“Remembering and celebrating the sagas of our brave soldiers is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the ideals of our nation. Their sacrifices serve as a beacon of inspiration for generations to come,” stated Kavinder Gupta. He reiterated that the nation is eternally indebted to its martyrs for their sacrifices and unwavering dedication.
Later, Kavinder Gupta also with Corporator Narinder Singh Bunty felicitated Veer Nari Raj Kumari, wife of the martyr Subedar Major, Nain Singh.
Later, Kavinder Gupta led a plantation drive in Ward No. 20 as part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. The event saw active participation from local leaders and residents, including Rekha Mahajan, Vinay Gupta, Councillor Ward No. 20, Rahul Kumar, Rachit Khosla, Sandeep Gupta, Pushpinder Singh, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Rohin Chandan, Ritika Trehan, Vijay Verma, Satvir Singh, and Devanand.
In another initiative, Kavinder Gupta joined Rekha Mahajan, BJP district president Jammu, Vinay Gupta Prabhari Jammu district, former Chairman JMC, and Corporator Ward No. 51 Channi Himmat, Jammu, Rajkumar Tarkhan, to kick-start the lane and drain construction work in Mohalla Paroli within Ward No. 51 Channi Himmat, Jammu. The project, estimated at Rs 45 lakhs, aims to enhance local infrastructure for the benefit of the community.
The residents of Ward No. 51 have applauded the endeavors of Kavinder Gupta, hailing his efforts as a shining model of comprehensive development in the Gandhi Nagar Bahu constituency.
