Nation should solidly support PM’s fight against COVID: BJP

JAMMU, May 6; Professor P.L.Kaul BJP leader and State In charge Swachh Bharat Abhiyan UT, J&K complimented Prime Minister, Narendre Modi for announcing a liberalised vaccine policy ,making all people above 18 years of age ,eligible to get vaccine free of cost from May 1,2021 and allowing State Governments and private hospitals to purchase vaccine from manufacturers directly.
In a statement issued here, today vaccination is the safe remedy against the virus infection. While interacting with the people Prof Kaul said that Government of India under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making all out efforts on war footing to deal with the pandemic, despite its Prime Minister is bearing the weight of 130 crore people and is doing selfless service to the nation with devotion and dedication which is unparalleled in our history. His strong will and efforts to overcome COVID pandemic is definitely going to succeed and the entire nation is with him in this fight against COVID pandemic said Prof Kaul.
Speaking on rising COVID 19 cases in India, Prof Kaul said, India’s daily COVID infection and death toll have touched new peaks in the past few days and the situation continues to be grim with single day rise of four lakh people testing positive with over three thousand new fatalities. The virus is multiplying three times faster than the earlier wave of infection, thereby exerting enormous pressure on the medical infrastructure, and added that battle against the virus is being fought on multiple fronts.
He said Government is intensifying these exercises in order to curb the spread of virus,.
Prof Kaul said, to curb the current oxygen crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a number of steps to deal with the crisis. Decision to install 551 PSA oxygen generation plants across the country from PM Cares Fund shows how much P.M is concerned for the welfare of COVID patients. These plants will boost the Oxygen availability and strengthen the public health system, adding that there is no need to panic for oxygen as the Government is trying to resolve the issue of oxygen transportation from the producing State to the high demand areas and to speed up its distribution, involving Railways (oxygen express) and Indian Air Force.
