JAMMU, Aug 23: National Art Festival organized by J&K Centre for Creative Arts in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages was inaugurated at V.R Khajuria Studios, Kala Kendra here today with the opening of an art exhibition.
Vijay Bakaya, former Chief Secretary was the chief guest whereas Raman Suri, State Executive Member, BJP was the guest of honour on this occasion.
Padamshree N.D Jamwal, a literary personality and artist, S. T.S Batra, well known artist & former Principal, Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Jammu and Pt. Kewal K. Sharma, President, JKCCA were the special guests.
Welcoming the guests, artists and students of various schools, O.P Sharma informed that an art exhibition, demonstrations everyday by various artists and art competition for children would be the part of this festival.
Speaking on this occasion, Vijay Bakaya said there is a need of creativity in life to make people’s life more aesthetical and sociable.
In his address Raman Suri said that art and culture spread the message of brotherhood among masses and make the society healthy.
N.D Jamwal said that art & culture keep artists and intellectuals alive for generations.
S. Batra appreciated the role of JKCCA for promoting art & cultural activities.
