PATNITOP, Mar 31: The seven day long National Art Workshop organised by Master Sansar Chand Baru Memorial Trust (MSCBMT) in collaboration with Petronet LNG concluded here today.
The workshop on theme ‘Karam Bhoomi’ with special focus on tribal art, was commenced on March 25 in which renowned artists participated.
Dr. Rashmi Singh, Commissioner Secretary, Hospitality and Protocol (H&P) Department, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Brig Vijay Sagar Dheman (Retd) was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha Rishi, Chairperson, MSCBMT said, “We are extremely happy to see unity among the artist fraternity that has acted as a catalyst in making the workshop a great success.”
She said that measures to promote art and culture were discussed in detail with the participating artists and the concerned stakeholders in the region.
“These workshops are witnessing a healthy and positive response in the region and not only the participating students but even their parents have expressed happiness over the holding of such educative and skill enhancing workshops,” she added.
Dr. Rashmi Singh, Commissioner Secretary, in her address lauded the role of MSCBMT that has been relentlessly working to discover hidden talent among the students in the Valley and enhance their creativity skills through art workshops.
Later, the Chief Guest felicitated the participating artists with ‘Certificate of Participation’.
The artists who participated in the workshop included Ashok Kumar, Bannu Baidh, Gouri Vemula, JD Maryan, Jitendra Baidh, Triveni Baidh, Sonal Gupta, Rahul J Mhetra, Nilisha J Phad and Monica Ghule.
