‘National Integration Tour’ for students, elders organised

Srinagar, Aug 24: In its pursuit in consonance with its ethos, the army organized a ‘National Integration Tour’ for the selected meritorious students based upon their academics in Aishmuqam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A defence spokesman said that this time Army has decided to include families of these students as part of the tour. The tour under the aegis of Chinar Corps, consists of 15 boys and 15 girls participants along with 10 elderly persons from the area of Lidder Valley & Khiram bowl. The aim of the tour is to introduce young minds, along with their families, to the rich and diverse culture and secular nature of our country,” he said.
The tour was flagged-off from Aishmuqam by the Commanding Officer of the Army camp based at Aishmuqam. “The tour will provide an opportunity to the students and their families to witness the economical and technological progress of the nation,” he said.
The tour participants will be visiting premier educational institutes of Jammu and Delhi which will help them to understand the multitude of career options available in different parts of the country.
