National level young painters camp concludes

JAMMU, Aug 17: 5-day national level young painters camp organised by Kala Kendra Jammu concluded in its premises today.
The camp was organised in connection with the celebration of Independence Day.
Principal Commissioner Income Tax Jammu & Kashmir Sangeeta Gupta, was the chief guest on the occasion. Secretary Kala Kendra and Director Local Bodies Jammu,  Soujanya Sharma was also present on the occasion.
An exhibition of the executed works was put on display in Master Sansar Chand Gallery Kala Kendra. Camp was coordinated by Rohit Verma, noted painter of the State.
About 14 painters participated in the camp including Roma Bahl, Ankush Kesar, Sahil Ohri, R P Singh, Narinder Kumar, Anjali Bharti, Sushil Bharti, Sunil Dutt, Amrit Kour, Renu Bala, Salil Sharma, Mohinika, Shivali Jamwal and Imran Khan.
In her address, Sangeeta Gupta lauded the endeavours of Secretary Kala Kendra to rejuvenate artistic activities and to provide platform for artist fraternity .She appreciated the creative expressions of participated artist laden with talent par excellent.
Soujanya Sharma disclosed that for the first time an art activity has been mounted especially for visual art with a view to record their visual expressions on two dimensional surface of Canvas.
Prominent  artists among those who were present included Bhushan Kesar,Rakesh Sharma,Bishamber Mehta and Jang. S. Verman etc.
