National Painters’ Camp concludes at Mansar

JAMMU, Apr 4: A National Painters’ Camp organized by J&K Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu at JKTDC Complex, Mansar, concluded with valedictory ceremony where Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, J&K Department of Culture was chief guest. Ramesh Arora, Senior Additional Advocate General, J&K High Court was guest of honour whereas Bimal Magotra, Advisor JKCCA and social activist was special guest on this occasion.
The camp was a part of yearlong silver jubilee celebrations of JKCCA Jammu and was dedicated to Prof. (Late) T.S Batra, veteran artist & Former Principal, Institute of Music & Fine Arts, Jammu.
The chief guest took a round of paintings created during the camp and interacted with the participant artists.
He said that his department is working for the promotion of all forms of art whether visual, literary or performing art.
Ramesh Arora appreciated the contribution of Pt. Kewal K Sharma as President and O P Sharma as Director of JKCCA and other artists associated with the organization from a long time.
Earlier, O.P Sharma, Director JKCCA delivered welcome address and Pt. Kewal K Sharma, president JKCCA introduced all the artists.
Artists who participated in the camp were Dr. A.K Dixit, New Delhi; Prof. Sunil Saxena, Lucknow; K.S Gill and Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar; Jang S. Verman, O.P Sharma, Ashok Mehta, Anil Saraf, Shakti Kumari and Mehak Sharma, Jammu.
The camp was curated by O.P Sharma, renowned artist & Director, JKCCA.
