National scholars’ seminar concludes at JU

JAMMU, Jan 30: Two days national seminar of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce (SAP, DRS-II), University of Jammu, concluded here today at seminar hall of Computer Sciences, JU.
About 140 research scholars and students from various varsities including JU, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, GNDU Amritsar, Punjab University Chandigarh, Kurukshetra University and Uttarakhand University participated in the said seminar.
Prof. N. K. Sharma from IIT Kanpur, who was the external expert, delivered a special lecture on multivariate techniques of data analysis. He explicated the application and procedure of various multivariate techniques such as Exploratory Factor Analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling, ANOVA and MANOVA.
It was succeeded by two technical sessions in which 15 papers on emerging themes such as customer orientation, transformational leadership, cultural & emotional intelligence, organisational learning and customer equity were presented.
Prof. Deshbandhu Gupta, Director, CDC, University of Jammu was the internal expert.
Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor JU, who was chief guest on the occasion, said that the ability of scholars gets boosted by such type of academic activities Prof Hardeep Chahal, HoD Commerce, presented welcome address and Prof. Neetu Andotra, Coordinator SAP, presented in detail the progress of SAP.The seminar details were presented by Dr. Jeevan Jyoti.
The best paper award was given to Jagmeet Kour and Renu Bala for empirical and conceptual papers respectively. Dr Greet Kaur conducted the proceedings of the function. Dr.Sandeep Tandon presented formal vote of thanks.
Jai Kumar Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Tarsem Lal, Dr Bodh R Sharma. Kamini Dutta and Rupali Mahajan were also present on the occasion.
