National Theatre Festival concludes

JAMMU, Apr 3: The ongoing National Theatre Festival concluded here today at Abhinav Theatre with the presentation of famous play ‘Ghalib at Quarantine’ by a team of Natraj Natya Kunj Cultural Society Jammu.
The play ‘Ghalib at Quarantine’ has been directed by Abhishek Bharti.
The Fest was organized by Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi and was supported by Union Ministry of Culture in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
On concluding day, Khalid Hussain, Sahitya Akademi Awardee was chief guest whereas S.K Sharma (Retd.) Commissioner Income Tax was guest of honour.
Filmmaker Tariq Khan was special guest.
The play ‘Ghalib at Quarantine’ revolves around the character stuck at some place amid COVID crisis and sudden lockdown. The play was designed in such a way that it depicts the era of Mirza Ghalib.
The artist who acted in the play were Balwinder Singh, Anu Thakur, Anjali Sharma and Vishal Pandita while make-up and costume was done by Anu Thakur, set was designed by Virji Sumbly, lights by Aaditya Bharti, music by Vishal Pandita and singers were Anjali Sharma and Vishal Pandita.
