REASI, Apr 24: National Working Committee meeting of All India NHPC Workers and Employees Federation was held today at Salal Power Station Jyotipuram, under the chairmanship of B N Jha, working president.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federation from different parts of the country.
The main agenda of the meeting was discussed with 12-point programme/charter of demands, submitted to the Government of India by all the Central trade unions and the issue of PLGI to the NHPC employees from 1-1-2007.
Detail deliberations were held by Vinod Upreeti, S P Katoch, Jeevan Singh, Ashwani Jaryal, Gurdyal Singh, O P Jaryal, T R Mandla, Varinder Singh Thakur, Dalip Chand, Nagir Ahmad Bhat, Ajit Singhy, Latif Hussain Sadiqui and Bari Singh.
Each and every participant insisted that NHPC employees will definitely support the cause of the workers at all level and suggested that what so ever the decision is taken by the Central trade union, they will extend the full support.
While speaking in the meeting, Munshi Ram Salalia stressed upon all the participants to work unitedly and ensure the end of exploitation of the contract workers by their masters and employers.
The meet finally decided that all the workers of NHPC will observe all the decisions of the Central trade unions on the 12-point programme in the interest of workers.
