JAMMU, Jan 2: The cultural group ‘Natraj Natya Kunj’ (NNK) here today inaugurated Acting Workshop with the lighting of traditional lamp by NNK’s President Kumar A. ‘Bharti’.
A handout stated that it was the third Workshop under the series ‘The Need for Right Training’—an initiative of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi to provide world class theatre training to young aspirants of Acting who don’t have proper means and exposure in theatre.
The Workshop is being conducted by Vikram Sharma, a Delhi based Actor and Actor trainer. He is alumni of renowned Lee Strasberg theatre and Film Institute, New York.
Giving details about the Acting Training Programme, Director Natraj Natya Kunj, Abhishek Bharti said that the group is conducting such type of workshops to create a space for learning for both adults and children and to encourage them to relate to contemporary theatre.
While interacting with the media Advisor of the group Dr. Rajinder Thapa explained, “This workshop will help the students to gain confidence and express themselves in a better way. This workshop will help participants explore and improvise rhythm, movement and music and will focus on teaching dialogue delivery, singing, stage presentation, narration of stories and body language, within the framework of modern theatre.”
The participants in the Workshop included Abhishek Sharma, Mukesh Bakshi, Lalit Sharma, Hema Shivgotra, Niharika Sakshi, Manpreet Kaur, Chanda Pandey, Kalhan Koul, Arun Bral, Ritik Mahajan, Shivam Chib, Daksh Sagoch, Tejan Bharti, Vaibhav Sagoch, Sagar Koul, Pawan Kumar.
