JAMMU, May 29: Natrang’s Sunday Theatre reached Chandigarh with the presentation of world famous Moliere’s super comedy play ‘Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chaal’ at Tagore Theatre Chandigarh in Jaspal Bhatti Comedy Sunday.
The show was organized by Department of Cultural Affairs, Chandigarh Administration and Tagore Theatre Society. The highly hilarious play was directed by Sumeet Sharma who has been conferred Sangeet Natak Akademi’s prestigious Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Theatre Direction and has devised a distinctive knack for the effective presentation of such plays. Resultantly the play received warm appreciation of Chandigarh audience.
Natrang has endeavored to expand it’s horizons and now it’s popular weekly show is travelling to North India and next Sunday, June 5, 2016, on great public demand Internationally acclaimed Dogri play Ghumayee written and directed by Balwant Thakur will be presented at Tagore Theatre for Chandigarh theatre lovers.
The play ‘Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chaal’ is Hindustani adaptation of world famous French comedy by Moliere ‘A Bourgeois Gentleman’.
Anil Tickoo very impressively demonstrated his long experience and versatility as an actor. He was supported by the appropriate impetus from the other senior actors like Sunita Pandit and Neeraj Kant. Aarushi Thakur, Rahul Singh, Suneedhi Sharma, Charanjeet Bhardwaj and Shivika Verma also elevated the performance with their acting skills. Sanyam Pandoh, Surbhi Chalotra, Hemant Magotra, Shivam Singh and Yash Manhas could also very effectively attain the mannerism of their respective characters and received applauses. The lights were designed by Suraj Ganjoo and music was scored by Brijesh Avtar Sharma.
