JAMMU, July 24: Asgar Wajahat’s popular and highly relevant play ‘Sabse Sasta Gosht’ was presented here today by Natrang at its Studio in Sunday Theatre Series.
A hard hitting comment on the contemporary socio-political scene, this mind blowing play was directed by Neeraj Kant. Written and presented in street-theatre genre, the play vociferously captured the attention of the audience.
The play, very directly unfolds the present socio-political scenario before the audience where humans are hypnotized to fight in the name of religion and kill each other whereas this is a widely acknowledged fact that no religion preaches violence and gives one a permit to kill the other.
Set at a village scene where elections are around the corner, the entire drama of communal violence is flailed by the vested interests for their respective political gains.
The dialogues and actions of the play were sufficient for the people to realise what is happening to the society and how we could make our society better by resisting the urge to fall prey to the preaching of hate mongers. The title ‘Sabse Sasta Gosht’ was well exemplified in the play as people get carried away by little things but human life matters least to them.
Natrang actors who acted in the play included Shivam Singh, Rishabh Sharma, Sudesh Parihar, Piyush Anand, Vishal Sharma, Yash Manhas and Shekhar Sharma. Light were operated by Neeraj Kant where as music was scored by Brijesh Avtar Sharma. The show was coordinated by Mohd Yaseen and Kritika Singh did the presentations.
