‘Natrang’ produces, stages 16 major plays in 4 months

JAMMU, Aug 25: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ has achieved a big milestone by producing and staging 16 major plays in four months.
In a press conference here today Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur informed with this achievement, Natrang has become the first theatre group of the country to achieve such a distinction.
“In commemoration of the celebrations of 35 glorious years of Natrang, the group decided to hold a festival of four plays every month since May, 2018 and so far four festivals have been organised featuring four plays each,” he maintained.
Talking to reporters he thanked the audience of Jammu for supporting and appreciating Natrang’s endeavours.
He also expressed gratitude towards all the participating actors, technicians, musicians, designers and directors for creating the historic moment for Natrang.
He further said that Natrang plans to continue this tradition of showcasing four plays each month till April, 2019 and by doing so it will create yet another record of producing and presenting 48 major theatre productions in a year.
