JAMMU, July 5: Shakesp-eare’s world play ‘Twelfth Night ’ is being brought to Jammu stage for the first time by Natrang on July 7, 2017. This was informed here today by Natrang Director Balwant Thakur at a press briefing at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu.
Giving details Balwant Thakur said that Jammu audience will have the rarest opportunity to see world famous William Shakespeare’s play ‘Twelfth Night’ which has been translated, adapted and directed by Aarushi Thakur Rana. Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr M K Bhandari would be the chief guest on the occasion.
This play is believed to have been performed for the first time in 1961 in front of Elizabeth or even before it was published in 1623, seven years after Shakespeare’s death.
The actors who are likely to perform will include Mahikshit Singh, Gauri Thakur, Sunny Mujoo, Jyoti Kant Sharma, Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Gopi Sharma, Goutam Sharma, Abhi Bargotra, Vrinda Sharma, Moses Marton, Haq Nawaz, Afaque Khan, Akshit Koul, Sachin Saini, Aadesh Dhar, Aryaman Gupta, Vatsal Kajuria, Sanket Bhagat, Mihir Gujral and Shruti Sharma.
