JAMMU, Dec 10: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged a new Hindi play ‘Ajgar Raaj’ written by Chiranjeet and directed by Neeraj Kant.
The play begins at the court of ‘Ajgar Raaj’, where he is celebrating his 74th birthday and his Commander tells him that his master Shaitaan had given him a boon that if he completes 73 years of life, he will never die.
Along with this, he also declares his Commander as his crown prince in the absence of his Prime Minister.
Ajgar Raaj also announces that he has become immortal, hence he should be considered as God and his ‘Lal Kitab’ should be considered as the divine book of God.
After this, a commentary on ‘Lal Kitab’ is broadcasted on radio and Ajgar Raaj orders the Commander to broadcast it 101 times.
Then a voice echoes in which the dragon king is warned that he is the enemy of humanity and world peace and all the dictators who declared themselves God have been killed, so he too will die soon. Ignoring this warning, he cites the teachings of his ‘Lal Kitab’ and says that the whole world is afraid of his destructive weapons.
Now, the Prime Minister of Ajgar Raaj who has returned after visiting many countries tells that no one is afraid of him anymore, a civil war has broken out in his own country and people have blackened his pictures.
Many countries have expelled their citizens from their countries. Angered by this, the dragon king says that Shahe Jhutistan should now be asked to attack India. On this the Prime Minister says that Shahe Jhutistan wants us to attack them first.
Natrang artists who performed in the play were Abhimanyu Choudhary, Harshul Kaul, Kushal Bhat and Chaitanya Shekhar.
Lights were executed by Sanket Bhagat who also rendered music to the play.
