‘Natrang’ stages Hindi play ‘Matribhumi’

JAMMU, Aug 13: Theatre group ‘Natrang’ in its endeavor to give a new flip to the mission ‘Meri Matti Mera Desh’ here today staged a new Hindi play ‘Matribhumi’ by Radhakrishna Sahay. The play was directed by Neeraj Kant.
Before the play started, a performer tendered apology expressing inability to present the play as an actor, who was a news reporter, was attacked and was in hospital. Soon two actors appear to say that the play will definitely happen and at the same time they will also find out why their actor was attacked.
The play began with the news of uranium theft in the country. Yuvak-1 and Yuvak-2 tell that this whole uranium scandal was reported by Chandrakar, who was their actor and along with this, all the people connected with this scandal followed Chandrakar to get the evidence from him.
After theft, the uranium was sent to neighbouring countries.
Mr. Gupta and Karamchand were directly involved in the scandal, and in a conversation Gupta asked Karamchand to deal with Chandrakar.
Meanwhile, Gupta receives a call from the minister.
Karamchand said that Chandrakar was offered up to Rs. 25 lakh but he does not accepted it as he was a true patriot. Later, Karamchand gets Chandrakar killed by his goons. In this way, the whole truth of the attack on Chandrakar came to fore.
Natrang artists who performed in the play were Aadesh Dhar, Chirag Anand, Abhimanyu Choudhary, Vedhant Suri and Sumit Singh Bandaral.
Publicity of the play was designed by Vanshika Pandoh, lights were designed and executed by Neeraj Kant, music was rendered by Brijesh Avtar Sharma, presentation was done by Asma Gul and the show was coordinated by Mohd. Yaseen.
