JAMMU, Nov 29: Natrang presented its famous Hindi play “Mind Games” today at the auditorium of IIIM.
On the occasion, Dr Ram Vishwakarma, Director IIIM was the chief guest.
The four shows series of this play has been sponsored by Simula Infra. Mind Games is a very innovative and experimental play which has been conceived, written and directed by Sumeet Sharma.
The play ‘Mind Games’ unveils a very common, unconscious and continuous practice of all human beings, chatting with Mind and creating baseless abstract stories all the times, which give rise to thoughts which when nurtured become attitude and eventually shape our behavior and personality causing success or failure. The play revolves around a character Ajeet, who represents the mind model of a contemporary man whose rejections, anxiety, likes, dislikes, passions, reasons, fears, emotions, fantasies, dreams, etc. have a lot to share with all of us. The absurd thoughts which he develops create humor but unknowingly we are laughing at our own habits and shortsightedness while laughing at him. The theme of the play ‘Mind Games’ is universal yet unique. It does not reflect the story of one particular character or situation but showcases the instinctive behavior of all human beings.
Sumeet Sharma played the central character of the play ‘Ajeet’, whereas Gaurav Jamwal as ‘Krish’, Vineet Sharma as ‘Simran’, Pawan Verma as ‘Boss’ and Rahul Singh as ‘Kumar’. Others who participated in the play included Mohammad Yaseen, Uplaksh Singh Kotwal, Shivam Manhas, Mihikshit Singh, Pankaj Verma, Syed Mudassir, Sakshi Prakash, Shifali Gupta, Avisha Khajuria, Archita Sharma and Shekhar Sharma.
