Natrang stages ‘Operation Kala Jungle’

MEERUT, Sept 2: On the occasion of Regiment Raising Day of 21 Mahar, theatre group ‘Natrang’ here today staged its latest performance ‘Operation Kala Jungle’ based on a real-life operation executed by Army’s 21 Mahar Regiment.
The performance included events like dances, singing, sports activities and gymnastics.
‘Operation Kala Jungle’ was a vivid portrayal of a significant military operation conducted by 21 Mahar Regiment in June 2023.
The regiment’s daring mission, carried out in J&K, was based on crucial intelligence and involved intercepting individuals who had crossed the Line of Control with a substantial cache of ammunition, weapons and narcotics. The successful operation prevented what could have been a catastrophic event.
The theatrical presentation was conceived by Seegar Bhushan Chauhan, designed and directed by Sumeet Sharma, the script was crafted by Pritam Katoch, audiography by Nitish and choreography by Sunny Mujoo.
Notably, the performance was unique in that it featured no professional actors instead it was brought to life by the Army-men themselves, adding an authentic and impactful dimension to the depiction.
The performance was met with widespread acclaim for poignant and engaging representation of the valour and dedication of 21 Mahar Regiment.
The event underscored regiment’s extraordinary service and commitment to national security, celebrated with a powerful and moving theatrical experience.
