SAMBA, Apr 12: Natrang’s travelling show of the play ‘Loktantra Ka Asli Mantra’ written by Padamshree Balwant Thakur and directed by Neeraj Kant was staged here today at the auditorium of a school.
This show was organised by district administration Samba with the support of Chief Electoral Office J&K to educate masses about the importance of voting.
The play opens with the aggression of disillusioned and frustrated youth struggling to survive in contaminated air of corruption, scandals and dishonesty. They do not see any hope in future as their present is being rotten by the corrupt system.
They want to devastate everything around them in rage but when questioned by an educated person that ‘what are they doing to come out of this unfortunate situation? Busy in their illusionary world created by social media, they were speechless as they just want things to happen but were not ready to be part of that change and want everything without making any required effort.
Terming them as most vibrant human resource of the world, the educated person prompts them to come forward to take the command to change their fate.
The most effective way of changing the fate of a country is the way of voting, which is the highly peaceful and effective way to bring big reforms.
Certain sections expressed petty reasons to not vote and for whom to vote and such ignorance and arrogance leaves space for vested interests to exploit the situation.
Through this play all the sections of society are prompted not to run away from their ultimate responsibility of voting for the stronger democracy of India.
Artists who participated in the play were Neeraj Kant, Subash Jamwal, Mohd. Yaseen, Brijesh Avtar Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Palshin Dutta, Payal Khanna, Priya Kashyup, Aadesh Dhar, Kushal Bhat, Sanket Bhagat, Amit Rana, Arun Sharma and Vansh Pandotra.
Music of the play was operated by Chaitanaya Shekhar.
